Hillary Eggers is a conservation photographer, filmmaker and educator.
She was born and raised in Sycamore, Illinois and graduated from Augustana College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Studio Art. In 2010, Hillary taught kindergarten in Moshi, Tanzania through the non-profit Cross Cultural Solutions. She then went on to teach elementary school in Boulder, Colorado.
After spending seven summers leading canoeing and kayaking trips through Northern Canada and Alaska for Camp Manito-wish YMCA, her connection with nature was undeniable. She used that connection alongside her background in education to teach Marine Biology, Lake Ecology and Underwater Robotics at John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.
While living in New York City, Hillary graduated from the Documentary Photography and Visual Journalism program at the International Center of Photography, and worked as the Photography Fellow the National Audubon Society.
She is currently attending Scripps Institution of Oceanography for her MAS in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation, and working as a freelance photographer in San Diego, California.
